Cleft Lip & Palate Surgeries
Each year, hundreds of thousands of children are born with cleft lips and palates. Most families in underdeveloped countries are too poor to afford corrective surgery. It is a genetic defect widespread in the Philippines, so Omega is sponsoring cleft lip surgeries in that country. A simple surgery, which takes less than one hour and costs only $300.00 corrects this deformity. The transformation of a child's appearance is almost like a miracle, which allows the boys and girls to live a normal life and no longer be considered outcasts by their peers. |
